How do I find my Martin saddle serial number?
How do I find my Martin saddle serial number?
You can find your Martin saddle serial number stamped into the leather. On older saddles, look on the underside of the fender or behind the stirrup leather. On newer models, it is typically located near the billet strap area.
If you cannot find the stamp, check both sides of the saddle in good light and look beneath any leather that may cover the fender or stirrup-leather area. The serial number helps identify the saddle’s original model, year, seat size, gullet width, and factory build record.
What year was my Martin saddle made?
What year was my Martin saddle made?
For Martin saddles made in 2015 or later, the first two digits of the serial number identify the manufacturing year. For example, a serial number beginning with 25 indicates a saddle made in 2025, while one beginning with 26 indicates 2026.
For saddles made before 2015, the serial-number format does not include the manufacturing year in the same way. In that case, contact Martin with the complete serial number and clear photos of the saddle so the team can help identify it.
How can I tell which Martin saddle model I have?
How can I tell which Martin saddle model I have?
For Martin saddles made in 2015 or later, look at the third and fourth digits of the serial number. Those two digits identify the saddle model.
For example, in a serial number formatted as:
25 | 71 | 145 | 075 | 12345
- 25 = 2025 manufacturing year
- 71 = Stingray model
- 145 = 14.5" seat
- 075 = 7.5" original gullet width
- 12345 = unique factory serial number
